Entertainment Desk :
Dhallywood’s popular actors Mamnun Hasan Emon and Nipun Akter starrer movie ‘Birotto’ is going to release today (September 16). By giving direction of this movie, Saidul Islam Rana is going to debut his career as a director in the silver screen.
As the movie is based on doctors, the director of ‘Birotto’ took a different strategy to promote the movie. Along with cinema hall promotions, the makers also went to various medical colleges to promote the movie, said director Saidul Islam Rana.
Actor Emon played the role of a doctor named Raju in the movie. While talking about acting in this movie, Emon said, “I’ve played a lot of characters in my career but never played a role, to which I had such a deep attachment. I have had a different feeling about this project from the beginning of the shooting till now. I feel lucky to have a chance to play such a role. I dreamt of becoming a doctor when I was a child. But that dream never came true and I became an actor. Though I didn’t pass MBBS, the director gave me chance to play a role of a doctor. During the pandemic, doctors risked their lives to assure proper treatment. For this, I salute all the doctors of the world. There have been many movies about RAB and police in Bangladesh but the life of a doctor is not depicted in any movie like that. I represented the doctors in our movie ‘Birotto.”
Actress Nipun shared her feelings by this way, “I will be seen in the role of a sex worker in the movie who dreams to live a normal life despite losing everything in life. I believe my character will help many helpless oppressed girls to return to normal life. It will give them hope; they will want to live anew.”
Apart from Eman and Nipun, the movie also casts Intekhab Dinar, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Kachi Khandkar, Barda Mithu Monira Akhter Mithu, Armaan Parvez Murad, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Sabiha Zaman, Hannan Shelley, Peerzada Shahidul Haroon, Tanveer Rizvi, Jasmine Akhtar, Swarna, Pranab Ghosh, Priyanti Gomez, Rimu, Jahangir Alam and child artists Muntaha Emelia and Salwa, among others.
