The movement of all kinds of vehicles such as bus, truck, taxi, car, jeep, tempo and auto rickshaw has been restricted from 12am of 29 December to 12am of 30 December 2018.
Movement of motor cycles is restricted for four days from midnight of 28 December to midnight of 1 January, 2019.
The Road Transport and Highway Division issued the notice on Sunday.
Transports of candidates, their agents, national and international observers, Election Commission staff and those responsible for conducting the election, law enforcing agencies, national and international journalists (with ID cards) will not come under this restriction. Ambulance, fire service, electricity, posts and communication related vehicles will remain outside the restriction.
The concerned authorities can also relax the ban on national highways, port and emergency commodity transportation, or any other emergency needs.
It will be a general holiday all over the country on December 30.
