People of Chittagong Hill Tracts formed a human chain on Sunday protesting the obstruction of mountain terrorists during the construction of two houses allocated by the government for new Muslim families in a special place next to Rowangchari market of Rowangchari upazila of Bandarban at the also Press Club premises.

Mujibur Rahman.Chittagong Hill Tracts Civic Council Vice President Abdus Sukkur, Abdul Alim Manu, Chittagong Hill Tracts Civic Council Bandarban district branch secretary Md. Nashir Uddin, municipal branch president Samchul Haque Shamu, Kazi Iqbal Mahmud, Nurul Abshar, Monirul Islam, Shahal, student leader Mizanur Rahman. With Akhand Trinamool leaders and activists were present.
Kazi Mujeeb said in the human chain that hill terrorists have been killing, disappearing and persecuting Bengalis in hilly areas. Even today, Bengalis are not safe in the hills. Bengalis are still helpless in the mountains. They are victims of murder and torture even for a small crime. They do not calm down.
The armed hill terrorists are secretly planning to expel the Bengalis from here. Meanwhile, he demanded exemplary punishment to find these conspirators and murderers.
It is to be noted that the upazila administration officially built houses for a total of 17 families including two new-Muslims on a 5.00 (five) acre private land behind Rowangchari Bazar as shown by the Headman of Rowangchari Sadar UP.
Take the initiative to give residents of Rowangchari Marma community said that they will not allow government houses to be built on Khas area designated for 17 families including new Muslims.
The people of Rowangchari Marma community are protesting for the forcible occupation of the said 5.00 (five) acres of land.
