A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Janata Bank Limited and Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited Auditorium in Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Sunday. Deputy Managing Director of Janata Bank Limited Iftekharuzzaman and and President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari signed in the agreement paper on behalf of their respective organizations.
Janata Bank Limted is the sponsor of the high profile coach of Bangladesh Hockey Federation. For this purpose Janata Bank Limited has given a cheque of Tk 50,00,000 to Bangladesh Hockey Federation. Janata Bank Limited is the sponsor of the high profile coach for the upcoming one year.
Earlier, Janata Bank Limited gave Tk 90,00,000 to BHF to sponsor the high profile coach for 14 months.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation Abdus Sadeque, Acting Managing Director of Janata Bank Limited Omar Faruque, General Secretary of BHF Khaja Rahmatullah were also present at the occasion.
Omar Faruque said, “Bangladesh has developed in world hockey level. The ranking of Bangladesh in world level is now 30. Earlier, Bangladesh’s ranking was 36.”
Muhammad Enamul Bari said, “We want to go forward. Bangladesh Hockey Federation will arrange Premier Division Hockey League, First Division Hockey League, Second Division Hockey League, Third Division Hockey League regularly to promote Bangladesh’s hockey.”
