A motorcyclist has died and two of his friends have been injured following an accident on the Mayor Hanif Flyover in Dhaka.
Police at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said the three were injured in the mishap that occurred on Thursday night. They were later admitted to the DMCH, where the
doctor on duty pronounced Monirul Islam Jewel, 30, dead.
Islam was from Jhenaidah and used to live in Ahmedabad, in Dhaka’s Mirpur. The two others are ‘Kamal’ and Sohel Rana. Inspector at the DMCH Police Post Mozammel Haq said the motorcyclists had, in all likelihood, lost control of the bike at the Jatrabarhi end of the flyover. Pedestrians had rushed them to the hospital.
