“Bangladesh Water Development Board is modernizing the hydrological information services and early warning system in harmony with the vision 2021 and vision 2041 declared by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
The Director General of Bangladesh Water Development Boad Md. Mahfuzur Rahman said this in a Motorcycle distribution ceremony held on Thursday at the BWDB premises at Green Road, Dhaka.
In the ceremony 40 motorcycles were distributed among the field level supervisors and monitors of hydrological data network.
The Project Director Md Saiful Hossain said that BWDB is implementing “Strengthening Hydrological Information Services and Early Warning System” Project to automate the hydrological stations, to modernise the data management system and to increase the lead time of flood forecasting.
The motorcycles procured by the project will be used for supervision and monitoring of hydrological data network.
