Bright Bangladesh Forum- a non-govt organization of the port city arranged a Mothers Rally at District Shishu academy auditorium on Sunday morning.
Pregnant and post delivery mothers participated the rally. Chief Surgeon of Chittagong Dr. Md. Azizur Rahman Siddiqui graced the occasion as chief guest. Head of Gynae Department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital Prof. Dr. Sahanara Chowdhury attended the rally as special guest.
Chief Executive of BBF Utpal B arua presided over it. one hundred pregnant and post delivery mothers joined the rally. Among others ward councilors Mobarak Alim councilor Jesmin Parvin, Farzana Parvin, child oraniser Nargis akhtr and Director MAISA Yaseen Manzoo spoke on the occasion.
The speakers in the rally emphasized the need of proper nursing of a mother before confinement and said a good mother can birth a good child . We should always care the mothers duri pregnant periods and after confinement for good health of the babies. Mentionable that BBF is implementing the project it’ led Babubarta for Slums’ in six city ward in Chittagong under the financial assistance of Secretary of Women of US under the programs of Global Women health Innovation programs from 2014, sources said.
