A drug addicted son killed his old mother at Sadirchar village in Gajirchar union under Bajitpur Upazila in Kishoreanj on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Rehena Akhter (68), wife of Md. Nurul Islam, a retired Banker in Sadirchar of Bajitpur upazila.
Bajitpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saifur Rahman Mujumder PPM said that we received on information, police rushed to the spot, deadbody recovered. Police also arrested killer named Saddam Hossain.
The body was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital mourge for autospy. A cas was filed in this connection with Bajitpur Police Station.
