KPRS Houston :A mother whose 7-month-old son died in June 2013, met the organ recipient that received her sons’ organs after a heart transplant.Heather Clark, mother of Lukas Clark, was overwhelmed with tears as she listened to the heart of 4-year-old Jordan Drake who was born with a congenital heart defect.Lukas died after it was reported that he was abused by a babysitter’s boyfriend. Sadly, he did not survive. Jordan received Lukas’ healthy heart at 18 months old after Clark made the decision to donate Lukas’ organs to help others.The mother of Jordan, Ester Gonzalez, described her emotion and excitement on meeting the mother who was kind enough to donate her son’s heart to save her daughter’s life. “It’s hard to describe that she would be so selfless to be able to think of another family while she’s going through her grief,” Gonzalez said.The heartwarming union was captured at Phoenix Children’s Hospital on Friday.
