A woman and her teenage daughter reportedly committed suicide by hanging themselves over family feud at Rahela village in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj on Monday night over family feud.
The deceased were identified as– Shahnaj, (28,) wife of Umayer Mia, and their daughter Priyoti(, 12.)
Tarail Police Station Officer – in-Charge (OC) Mujibur Rahman told the new nation that the bodies were found hanging on the same rope inside their house. After being informed by locals, police broke open the door at 10:30 pm and recovered the bodies.
Quoting locals, and Police said Umayer tied the knot with Shahnaj some 13-14 years age. However, Umayer recently married another woman which instigated marital dispute.
Shahnaz’s husband Umayer was not at home when the bodies were recovered. Legal action will be taken in this regard, the OC .
