bdnews24.com :Police in Chittagong have recovered the bodies of a woman and her 5-year-old daughter from their home at the district’s Boalkhali Upazila.Police said, 35-year-old Shelly Shil was found hanging from the ceiling in her bedroom while daughter Antara Shil was found dead on the bed. Shelly was married to Asim Shil, who works as an assistant to a lawyer in Chittagong. The couple has another 8-month-old child.Initial investigations suggest that the child was strangled to death, Boalkhali police OC Md Salauddin told bdnews24.com from the spot. He said that they suspect that the mother murdered the girl before committing suicide. Quoting family members, local journalists said that Shelly locked herself in the room on Monday following an altercation with her husband. The mother and her two children remained in the room over the night. After hearing the 8-month-old crying in the morning, Shelly’s mother-in-law Sabita Shil managed to enter the room, only to find her daughter-in-law and 5-year-old granddaughter dead.
