UNB, Chittagong :Three people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed and two motorcyclists injured in an accident at Thana Rastar Matha in Lohagora upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon. Two of the deceased were identified as Ayesha Begum, 45, and her daughter Jerin Tasmin Joyti. Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Lohagora Police Station M Kefayatullah said the accident took place as the driver of a Chittagong-bound bus lost control over the steering while trying to overtake a CNG-run auto rickshaw and hit three pedestrians around 12:30 pm, leaving three women dead on the spot.However, the bus also hit a motorcycle, leaving its two riders seriously injured. The injured were whisked off to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
