Former national cricketer Mosharrof Hossain Rubel died in a city hospital on Tuesday afternoon. He was 39.
Rubel was suffering from brain cancer. Rubel’s close friend Senior Sports Reporter of Maasranga TV Zahidur Rahman confirmed his death news on Tuesday.
Last year Mosharrof Hossain’s condition was critical. After that, he was admitted to a city hospital. Later, he was sent to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of that hospital. Then, his condition was improved. On February 20, he went to India for treatment and took medication under a noted physician of India. Then, he returned to the country. But he again became ill. So, he was admitted in ICU of a city hospital.
Rubel’s complications was sort out in the year of 2019. He was suffering from brain tumor. Thus, he was out of the field. Later, he was sent to Singapore for better treatment. But his condition was not improved.
Last year in the second week of November, he underwent surgery by a noted surgeon of India. The physician removed his brain tumor. But his condition was not improved. Though he was out of the field but he could be an official of BCB like Shahriar Nafees or Abdur Razzak Raj. But Rubel could not do that kind of job as he left the world forever.
