Curriculum based exhibition at Shilpakala by ULAB

The Curriculum Integration Visual Exhibition of the summer 2019 semester was inaugurated at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Saturday morning. Department of Media Studies and Journalism of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) arranged this exhibition.
The theme of the three days long exhibition is based on The Social Norms theory and is dedicated to the loving memory of prominent media personality and adjunct faculty of ULAB, Muhammad Jahangir.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Tropa Majumder, Director and Creative Head of the EXPRESSIONS Ltd. The exhibition will continue till 05 pm Monday at Gallery 2, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Several photos, posters, mask and other performances by the students of the department are being exhibited in the exhibition.
After inaugurating the exhibition Tropa Majumder visited the gallery and enjoyed the works of the students with the faculty members of the department. In her speech she said, “Before coming here in this program, I had a stereotype idea about the students of the private universities. After seeing your artworks and performances I must say that my earlier idea about you is gone. You have proved it by your works’. She added ‘Along with theoretical learning, practical learning helps the students in a great extent for their professional life’. Later Tropa Majumder praised of the faculties and the standard of education of the ULAB. Professor Jude William R. Genilo thanked her for her presence there and other faculties of the department were present there.
Prof Jude William Genilo, Head of the department of Media Studies and Journalism thanked the chief guest by presenting a token of appreciation on behalf of the department.
The main event is set to take place on September 9, 2019 at the Auditorium of Shilpakala Academy. It will feature a drama performance, a public speaking and debate session and a film exhibition.
