The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet on December 23 for reviewing reports on appearance of the new moon of the of Rabiul Awal.
The meeting will be held at the conference room of Islamic Foundation at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Maghrib prayer at according to a handout here yesterday.
Committee Chairman State Minister for Religious Affairs Al- Haj Principal Matiur Rahman will chair the meeting.
According to the handout, People have been requested to inform sighting of the moon anywhere in the country over phone or fax at the following numbers: 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9556407, 9558337 and fax number: 9563397.
