The Board of Directors of Delta Life Insurance Company Limited in a recent meeting unanimously re-elected Mr. Monzurur Rahman, who is also a Sponsor Director of the Company, as the Chairman of the Company, said a recent press release.
Mr. Rahman has long experiences 50 years in banking, insurance and tea business. Previously, he was the youngest Director of erstwhile Eastern Mercantile Bank Limited, which eventually was converted into Pubali Bank Limited. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Limited and also the Chairman of the Risk Committee of the Board Directors of the same Bank.
Apart from these, Mr. Rahman is an Independent Director of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited, the Chairman of Rema Tea Company Limited, an elected member of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), a member of Dhaka Club Limited and Kurmitola Golf Club.
Besides his successful career, he is involved with many philanthropic and social activities.
Mr. Rahman is a Business graduate from Kolkata University, India.
