Covid-19 cases, deaths continue to surge; 35 more die

Amid a rising trend in Covid-19 infections in Bangladesh, health authorities on Thursday reported 2,316 new cases in 24 hours, bringing the caseload to 471,739.Besides, 35 more patients lost their lives to Covid-19 during the period which took the fatalities to 6,748.The mortality rate stood at 1.43 percent, said the Directorate General of Health Services.
