Monira Mithu is one of the popular actresses of present time. After acting in role of heroine Mahiya Mahi’s mother in Zakir Hossain Raju’s directed movie Poramon Monira Mithu’s engagement in the big screen has increased.
After selecting several movies she has performed in important roles in four movies. Already she has finished shooting of these movies.
These movies are: SM Shakil’s Dorjar Opashey, Shahadat Hossain Liton’s Mon Bojhena, Anonno Mamun’s Bhalobashar Golpo and Saif Chandan’s Chheleti Abol Tabol Meyeti Pagol Pagol.
Of these movies, Monira Mithu specially mentioned that movie Bhalobashar Golpo because she acted in three roles of females in three stages of their lives.
While walking about her performances in these movies Monira Mithu told this correspondent, “As an actress, I will present myself in that way what the viewers want to enjoy my acting. I always prefer to work in challenging role. I am very much optimistic about my roles in those four movies where I performed. I believe viewers will also enjoy these movies and my acting.”
It may be mentioned that Monira Mithu debuted her acting career to perform against Zahid Hasan in late Humayun Ahmed’s play Openti Bioscope in 2001. Her acted first movie was Humayun Ahmed’s Chandrakotha.
Later under same director’s direction Mithu also acted in movies Aamar Achhey Jol, Khalid Mahmud Mithu’s Gohiney Shobdo and Jonakir Alo, etc.
Mithu’s acted last released movie was Apurbo Rana’s Purey Jai Mon. Her acted first drama serial was Humayun Ahmed’s Nil Towaley. Now her acted drama serials – Cholitechhey Circus, directed by Masud Sezan and Dhonni Meye, directed by Matia Banu Shuku are being telecasted on Banglavision and Maasranga TV respectively now.
