Mominul makes extra-ordinary record

Mominul Haque made an extra-ordinary record in Test cricket as a Bangladesh batsman. He scored century in both innings in a Test match. He is the 83rd batsman in Test cricket who scored back-to-back century in a Test match.
Mominul scored 176 in the first innings against Sri Lanka in the first Test at the Zahur Ahmed Chotwdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Thursday last. He hit 16 fours and a sixer in his 214-ball innings.
Then one-down Mominul scored 105 in the second innings on the fifth and final day (Sunday). He hit five fours and two sixes in his 174-ball knock.
The man from Cox’s Bazar hit six tons in his 26 Test matches.
Tamim Iqbal is the top Bangladesh batsman with eight centuries in Test cricket. Tamim played 53 Test matches.
On the other hand, Mominul Haque is the third Bangladesh batsman, who hit six centuries. Mohammad Ashraful also scored six centuries. But he played 61 Test matches.
The left-arm batsman touched Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim’s record when he hit first century in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Chittagong on Wednesday last.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim hit five centuries each.
Shakib played 51 Test matches, while Mushfiqur played 59 Test matches.
