Awami League candidate Mokhhedul Momin was elected Chairman of Saidpur Upazila Parishad election in Nilphamari again.
On Sunday (March 10th), Assistant Returning Officer and Saidpur Upazila Election Officer Rabiul Alam announced the names of the winners.
It is known that Awami League candidate Mokhedul Momin has been elected chairman of 40 thousand 650 votes. His nearest rival Jainal Abedin won the Jatiya Party candidate 20 thousand 785. Besides, Ajmal Hossain (lock) has been re-elected Vice Chairman of 22,214 votes. His closest rival candidate Jahangir Sarkar (Aircraft) got 19 thousand 352 votes. Sanjida Begum Lucky was elected to the Vice-Chairman of the women with 34,545 votes. His immediate opponent Ronak Afzal Renu got 19 thousand 144 votes.
Three candidates for the post of Chairman of Saidpur upazila, four for the post of vice chairman, three for the post of vice Chairman of women. In this upazila, around 86 thousand 824 voters used 66 thousand 300 79 voters.
