Mohammedan, Rupali Bank make winning start in Women’s DPL

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club and Ruplai Bank Krira Parishad made winning start in the 40-over a side Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League beating their respective rivals at two different venues on Monday.
Mohammedan SC notched a massive 90 runs victory against Indira Road Cricket Academy at Gulshan Youth Club Ground in the city.
Ruplai Bank KP crushed Gulshan Youth Club by 6 wickets at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground-4 in Savar.
Mohammedan vs Indira Road
Replying to 199, Indira Road CA finished the innings at 109 for all in 33.4 overs.
Puja Das top-scored 28 while Fatama Jahan and Surove Roy added 22 and 20 runs.
Shorifa Khatun and Lata Mondal grabbed two wickets each. Tahin Tahura, Khadiza Tul Kubra and Salma Khatun took one wicket apiece.
Batting first after winning the toss, Mohammedan SC scored 199 for all in 39.2 overs.
Shampa Biswas, Shorifa Khatun, skipper Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal scored 37, 34, 31 and 28 runs respectively for the side.
Happy Alam and Samima Akter captured three wickets each while Fatama Jahan took two wickets.
Ruplai Bank vs Gulshan Youth
Replying to 137, Rupali Bank drew the winning line scoring 140 for 4 in 30.3 overs.
Sanjida Islam scored 48 runs while Shahila Sharmin and Ayesha Rahman added 33 and 12 runs respectively.
Aka Mollik, Champa Chakma and Shirin took one wicket each.
Gulshan Youth, the side batted first after winning the toss, scored 137 for 7 in 40 overs.
Opener cum skipper Ayesha Akter making a half century of 64 runs while Aka Mollik and Champa Chakma added 20 runs each.
Skipper Sathira Zakir bagged three wickets while Nelam Brishti and Shahila Sharmin took one wicket each.
