Team BJMC forced traditional giant Mohammedan Sporting Club to play a 1-1 draw in the 4th round match of the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Bir Muktijoddha Rafique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium on Sunday.
Mohammedan took the lead in the stopgap time of the first half as their forward Tawhidul Alam Shabuj scored by a curving right footer shot from the right edge of the box, after carrying the ball from right flank, 1-0.
Team BJMC midfielder Muklesur Rahman Mukul restored the parity in the 50th minute by a header from the box, off a curving cross of midfielder Abdullah Al Parvez, 1-1.
With the day’s result, both Mohammedan and BJMC collected identical three points each playing four matches apiece.
Mohammedan featured three draws and one loss to collect the points while BJMC also featured the same result.
Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra will play Dhaka Abahani Ltd on Monday’s match at 4 pm at the same venue.
