Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited eased past Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by two goals to nil in their match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla on Tuesday.
Mohammedan Sporting Club took the fourth spot in the points table bagging 19 points from 11 matches, while Miktijoddha took the 11th position in the points table earning nine points from as many matches.
The Motijheel based out-fit led the first half 1-0.
Mohammedan’s Male recruit Souleymane put his team ahead in the 35th minute of the play.
After the lemon-break, Mohammedan’s Burkina Faso defender Mounzir doubled the margin in the 61st minute of the game.
Meanwhile, Rahmatganj MFS forced Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club to a 1-1 goals draw in the day’s other BPL match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
After yesterday’s outcome, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited retained their second position in the points table grabbing 23 points from 11 matches, while Rahmatganj MFS earned 10 points from as many outings.
After a barren first half, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club’s Uzbek recruit Otabek put his team ahead in the 49th minute of the game.
Sheikh Jamal’s joy was short-lived as Rahmatganj’s Ivory Coast recruit Christopher equalized the margin in the 51st minute of the clash.
After that players of both teams tried to break the dead-lock but they failed to do that.
