Modi visits Dhakeshwari Temple

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his second by visiting Dhakeshwari National Temple in the city on Sunday. He went there around 8:40am and offered prayers. Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon, President of Mahanagar Sarbajaneen Puja Committee JL Bhowmik and General Secretary Narayan Saha Moni received the Indian Prime Minister. Modi then visited Ramakrishna Mission around 9:10am. He unveiled plaques for grant-in-aid projects at the new Chancery complex at Indian High Commission here in Baridhara around 9:55am. The Indian Prime Minister will meet President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban at 12:40pm and attend a function at its Darbar Hall. Modi will also attend a private lunch to be hosted by the President at the Bangabhaban, and sign Visitors’ Book there. There will be a meeting between Indian Prime Minister and Bangladesh Opposition Leader Raushan Ershad at Sonargaon Hotel at about 3:10pm. — Dhaka, June 7 (UNB)
