Modi visits Dhakeshwari temple today

The visiting Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is scheduled to visit Dhakeshwari temple in the city today (Sunday) morning. From there he will go to Ramakrishna Mission.
Modi will also visit the new Indian Chancery Complex at Baridhara Diplomatic Zone where he will inaugurate the chancery.
The Indian Premier will call on President Abdul Hamid Advocate at Bangabhaban. He will receive the Independence Award on behalf of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his outstanding contribution to
Bangladesh’s Liberation War followed by a lunch.
Modi is also scheduled to hold meetings with former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad at the Hotel Sonargaon in the afternoon. Some other political leaders and business leaders are also likely to meet the Indian PM separately in the hotel.
The Indian Premier will give a public speech on Bangladesh-India relations at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre in the evening before leaving for home.
Dhaka University and the Indian High Commission in Dhaka are jointly arranging the function.
