Sujayendra Das :
Narendra Modi has taken charge of Prime Minister of India for the second time in a row for another five years phase from the years 2019-2024. The oath taking ceremony took place at a glittering ceremony at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan which carries golden legacies as per colonial and cultural heritage of India is concerned. In all more than 50 ministers cum ministers of state took oath of office and secrecy amidst massive gathering of diplomats from overseas and reputed figures from different parts of India.
In this year oath taking ceremony the special feature noticeable was the august presence of Bangladesh President Mohammad Abdul Hamid along with Speaker of Jatiya Sangshad Dr Shireen Sharmin Chaudhury. This will further herald the bilateral and cordial relations between close and friendly nations which previously existing and still exist amidst the spirit of friendship and fraternities.
Apart from India, all other BIMSTEC members attended this august gathering. Only Pakistan did not respond to the invitation from Mr Modi. It sounds extremely shocking as per basic tenets of diplomacy is referred to in the mind political analysts of sub continent. Whatever the feelings we do have in our mind especially in terms of diplomatic maneuvering is concerned despite ill feeling social and cordial feeling should always be exposed with close neighbours and other powerful nations of the globe is concerned. BIMSTEC members apart from India made an indelible impressions being present on this oath taking ceremony of Narendra Modi. Exclusively Bangladesh always aims to carry on cordial terms with neighbouring India.
India and Bangladesh relations:
It is all our sincerest beliefs and cherishment under the tenure of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India relations between India and Bangladesh will strengthen further in the days to come. There are lots of opportunities in galore by which we can expand the course of relations from macro points of view between these two closer and friendly nations. Bangladesh is now advancing in diverse ways such a business, trade, commerce as well as in cultural and fine arts aspects. It is in Dhaka city Metro railways will be set up with collaboration from China and Japan. India supplies buses being manufactured by Ashok Leyland, Madras. Tatas have opened a plant at a place little bit outskirts of Dhaka city which will no doubt expand bilateral trade and commercial relations between these two nations.
Tough tasks for Narendra Modi:
During the coming five years Narendra Modi has his tasks cut out richly for him. Key areas to be touched upon is controlling price rise, development of trade and commerce, expansion of employment opportunities, tackling the menace of law and order, pleasant relations with key opposition members and finally keep the academic cum economic bodies as apolitical ones. In the coming five years there must employment opportunities especially among the poor and downtrodden. This is because Modi needs to fine-tune his vision in tune with sea changes taking place all around the globe.
Summing up the above inference one point become crystal clear in our mind Modi has its tasks richly cut out during the coming five years otherwise India will retrace back further. Now as the close neighbours are overtaking India so it is high time Modi government to pull up its socks to be in tune with global scenarios.
