Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at different places in the country in 24 hours as of 9am today.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Barisal, Mymensingh, Chittagong, Sylhet, Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places in the country”, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) press release here on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a warning message of BMD said, “Rain or thundershowers along with temporary south or south-easterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kilometer per hour (kph) is likely to occur in the regions of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet wherein riverports have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number one till 6pm yesterday”.
