The mercury level is likely to dip after two days exposing the country to moderate cold wave severity with temperature level from 6.1 to 8.0 degrees Celsius, according to a met official.
“Mild cold wave sweeping over the regions of Srimangal, Pabna and Chuadanga will continue for more two days. After that the country may witness the season’s second cold spell severity with moderate one,” Abdur Rahman, a meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), told BSS on Saturday.
But there is no forecast of further severe cold wave in this winter season, he said.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over northwestern part and river basins and light to moderate fog elsewhere over the country from midnight to today’s morning while weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a met office press release here.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, the release added.
