Model Romana Islam Swarna, who was arrested in a fraud case, walked out from jail after securing bail.
She has recently granted bail from Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court in Dhaka said Moniruzzaman Mandal, sub-inspector of Crime Investigation Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
According to court sources, the court granted bail to accused Romana Islam in the custody of the plaintiff.
Earlier, on March 11, Saudi expatriate businessman Kamrul Hasan filed a fraud case against Romana Islam and she was arrested a day after the case.
In the case, Romana Islam was accused of embezzling around Tk 1.5 crore through fraud.
The case statement said Kamrul Hasan, a Saudi expatriate businessman, first met Romana Islam on Facebook in 2019. Later they became friends. Romana took money from Kamrul Hasan to buy a car through friendship.
After Kamrul returned to the country, Romana married him in 2020 to get a trap. She also took money from him to buy a flat. Later, under pressure, Kamrul divorced the model.
