Eight mobile courts in different areas of the city and upazilas of the district led by executive magistrates of Barishal district administration have fined 52 people total Tk 22,900 for not wearing masks.
The mobile courts were operated simultaneously from Wednesday morning to night, at various important points of the city and upazilas of the district.
The drives were operated against pedestrians and rickshaw pullers, three-wheeler drivers, passengers as they did not wear masks while moving on roads.
Executive Magistrate of Barishal District Administration Subrata Kumar Das, spokesperson of the district administration, said the dives were operated and campaign were aimed for making the people aware about preventing Corona pandemic.
He said total 114 people were fined in last two days on Tuesday and Wednesday and the operation would be continued.
