A mobile court of Chittagong district administration (CDA) yesterday jailed a drug addict for three months in city’s Bakalia area.
The court led by executive magistrate Shahdat Hossain convicted the drug addict Anwar Hossain, 26, son of Nuruzzaman of Rangunia Upazila of the district.
Anwar was arrested with four pieces of Yaba tablets from Madrasa Colony area under city’s Bakalia Thana at 11am today and handed over to the mobile court, said Mohammad Mohsin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakali Thana.
The magistrate after hearing the case awarded the judgment, the OC added.
