The International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) on Monday condemned Mobarak Hossain, a union level Awami League leader of Brahminbaria, to death for crimes against humanity, including genocide, during the Liberation War of 1971. Justice M Enaytur Rahman, chairman of the three-member tribunal, pronounced the verdict at 12:07pm at a crowded courtroom amid tight security. The 92-page judgment was unanimous.
