Manarat International University (MIU) emerged Group D champions to reach the super eight of the 7th ULAB Inter-Private University Cup T20 Cricket beating University of Asia Pacific (UAP) by one run in the day’s lone match at the ULAB playground at Ramchandrapur area in Mohammadpur on Wednesday.
Batting first after winning the toss, MIU scored 126 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs with Faruk scoring 36 runs off 29 balls who also claimed three wickets in his four overs spell to be adjudged man of the match.
Chasing 127 runs, UAP consumed stipulated 20 overs scoring 125 runs for 8 wickets.
In the super eight matches on Friday, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) will face BRAC University (BRACU) at 9:30 am while North South University (NSU) will take on East West University (EWU) at 1:30 pm at the same venue.
On Saturday, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) will play State University of Bangladesh (SUB) at 9:30 am, and Manarat International University (MIU) will meet South East University (SEU) at 1:30 pm.
