Police recovered the body of a university student, who went missing since Tuesday night, from a septic tank in Khagrapur area in the district town recently.
The deceased was identified as Prabhakar Tripura Rana, 24, son of Shurendra Tripura, a resident of Khagrapur area. And he was the last year student of honors of Govt Bangla College of Dhaka.
Police and the victim’s family said that Prabhakar Tripura was at brother’s house on Tuesday night. Since then, he went missing. After a lot of search, his family found the body of a new septic tank hole in the back of the house on Thursday noon.
Mohammad Abdur Rashid Officer-In-Charge of Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station said, after getting the news, a team of police recovered the body and sent to the Khagrachari District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
