UNB, Savar :
Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a Jubo League activist from Turag River at Ghasirdia in Kaundia area of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital early Thursday, three days after he went missing.
The deceased was identified as Al Arafat Sajal, 22, an activist of Birulia union unit Jubo League and son of Ummat Ali of Birulia area.
Informed by local people, police recovered the
bullet-hit body of Sajal with his hand and legs tied up early in the morning and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Tariqul Islam, in-charge of Birulia Police camp. Police said Sajal remained missing since Monday night as he went out from his home after receiving a phone call from his friend Rocky. Later, Sajal’s family lodged a general diary with Savar Model Police Station on Tuesday. Police arrested Rocky in this connection.
