Jannatul Nayeem Avril has finally been stripped of the title of Miss World Bangladesh, ending days of controversy and debate.
The decision was announced in a media briefing by the contest’s judges and organiser at Dhaka’s Hotel Westin on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old contestant from Chittagong was announced Miss World Bangladesh 2017 in the competition’s final round on Friday.
But some of the judges soon told media that Avril was not among the finalists.
Antar Showbiz and Omicon Entertainment organised the contest to pick Bangladesh’s representative for the pageant.
