Miscreants looted valuables worth Tk 5 lakh from a house after doping five members of a family at Ganganandapur village in Jhikorgacha upazila on Sunday night.Relatives of the victims said unknown miscreants sprayed some kind of doping chemical in the house of Abdus Samad, 60, at the village, and, as an effect, all the family members lost their consciousness around 10 pm.Later, the miscreants broke into the house and looted Tk 1 lakh cash, six ‘bhori’ gold, five mobile phones and other valuables. At one point, the villagers heard a noise coming from the direction of Samad’s house and went there to inquire about it.
They found the five family members in a feeble condition and took them to Jessore 250-bed Hospital.
The family members were released from the hospital on Sunday morning.
So far, no case has been filed in this connection.
