A night guard was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants in Deokolos union of Biswanathpur upazila early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Motin, 50, a resident of Chadpur district.
Motin was working as a night guard of Misbaul Ulum Dakhil Madrasah at Kaighat Bazar in Deokolos Union.
Madrasah principle ASM Lutfur Rahman said a gang of miscreants stabbed Motin early in the morning leaving him critically injured and fled the scene.
On information, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Sub-inspector of Biswanath Police station Shamim Akonji confirmed the incident.
