BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, released from jail on Tuesday, returned home on Thursday after being treated at a Dhaka hospital.
An aide to the senior BNP leader said he left Dhaka’s United Hospital in the morning for his home at Uttara.
The BNP acting secretary general, who was in jail since January, secured bail from the top court in seven cases of violence during the BNP-led alliance’s agitation earlier this year. He was released from the prison cell of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on Tuesday and taken to the United Hospital.
