Magical Mehedi Hasan Miraz left the city for West Indies on Thursday to take part in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Miraz will play for Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL.
Best all-rounder of world cricket Shakib Al Hasan will also leave the city for West Indies tomorrow to take part in CPL.
Before leaving the city for West Indies, Miraz got some tips from his teammate Shakib Al Hasan. Miraz said, “Shakib Al Hasan advised me to bowl aggressively. He said to me to maintain line and length. If I can follow his advice, I shall be successful there.”
Miraz said, ” If I play successfully in CPL, I shall get chance to play in Indian Premier League (IPL). But now I am eager to do well in CPL.”
Before taking part in the two Test matches against Australia, Miraz is going to play in Twenty20 format. When asked Miraz to comment about that matter, he replied that he had capability to adapt to play in all format.
He said, ” Trinbago Knight Riders have recruited me for bowling. If I get chance to bat, I shall try to perform well in batting. But my main target is to bowl well.”
He said, ” To play in a foreign tournament is amazing. If I can perform well there, everybody will say Bangladeshi cricketer shows well. It is a special feelings for a cricketer.”
