On Victory Day, a special play titled Babar Binocular is scheduled to be aired on Bangladesh Television.
Produced by Mahbuba Ferdous noted actor, director and playwright Mamunur Rashid has written story of the play. Already its shooting has been done at BTV.
In the play, after a long time legendary actress Mirana Zaman acted with noted actress Dolly Zahur.
They played in role of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law respectively.
While talking about the play Mirana Zaman told this correspondent, “Context of the play is based on our liberation war where Mamunur Rashid acted in role of my son and Dolly in role of my daughter-in-law. There is nothing to say about Mamun. He is not only a good actor but also a talented playwright. After a long time, I acted in any play. I really enjoyed working with Mamun, Dolly, Shah Alam Dulal, Azad Abul Kalam, Pran Roy, among others.”
Dolly Zahur shared her feelings by this way, “Mirana Apa is our respectable actress. From the beginning of my acting career I have been working with her. She loves me a lot. I also respect her. It is true that we will not get such an actress like Mirana Khala in the long run. In fact, after a long time I enjoyed a lot working with her.”
Producer of the play informed that it will be aired after 8:00pm News at BTV.
It is noted that Mirana Zaman and Dolly Zahur last worked together in Abul Hayat written a serial titled Uttor Dakshin. For many years under Mirana Zaman’s direction and her written script creating awareness among the people a programme titled Aamar Desh is being broadcasted on Bangladesh Betar every Saturday 4:05pm to 4:55pm.
