Staff Reporter :A six-year-old girl was raped in a house by a young man in the city’s North Baddaa on Tuesday morning.The victim was admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), said Abdul Jalil, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Badda Police Station.Police have already arrested the rapist from a house in the area, the police official said. The arrested man has been identified as Harunur Rashisd, 19, neighbor of the victim, he said.The police official said, the rapist Harun took the girl at his residence to give her drinking water while she was thirsty. At on stage, Harun raped the girl and left her in a poll of blood. The rapist also fled from the spot instantly.The victim’s mother filed a general diary against Harun in this connection after hearing the incident form her child, the OC said. The arrested man was being interrogated in this connection, he said. “We will ensure whether it is an incident of rape or not after getting medical test report,” the OC said.
