A minor girl was kidnapped by miscreants from the courtyard of her house at College Road Natun Masjid laneof the city on Sunday.
Victim’s father Binay Sammader said his daughterDipa Rani, 3, went missing while playing in front of his house around 10:30am.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of TK 40 lakh over mobile phone from Dipa’s father and threatened to kill the little girl if they do not get the money.
Later, Binay informed the police.
Md Nasir Uddin Mallik, assistant commissioner of Detective Branch of Police of Barishal Metropolitan Police, said they are trying to rescue the girl.
