In Gafargaon, a schoolgirl committed suicide by hanging herself huffing with her parents. The incident took place on Wednesday morning at Chaybaria village of Rawana union in Gafargaon. According to the family of the slain student, Tamanna Akhter, an 8th class student of Kalaipar Jalesh High School, was scolded by her parents two days ago.
The girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the wall of her house on Wednesday morning. Tamanna Akter is the daughter of Helal Uddin and Shahnaz Begum of Chaybaria village.
Gafargaon police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Gafargaon Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farooq Ahmed said the body was recovered and sent for autopsy. Further action will be taken in this regard subject to investigation.
