UNB, Jhenidah :
A minor boy was found dead inside a well at Rathkhola village in Harinakundu upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Hazrat Ali, 7, a class I student and son of Siddikur Rahman of the village.
Mahibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Harinakundu Police Station, said Hazrat Ali went out of his house on Saturday afternoon for playing and did not return since.
Locals spotted the body in an abandoned well of a forest and informed police in the morning.
Police recovered the body and sent to sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Police suspected that somebody strangled the boy to death and dumped it there.
A case was filed in this connection.
