A minor boy drowned in a pond at Vogdabori-Pramanikpara village under Domar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The victim was identified as Asif Billah, 6, son of Momin Islam of the same village. Police said Asif drowned in the pond near his house while he was taking bath there. The locals recovered the body of Ashif from the pond and taken to nearby hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead.
