A minor boy drowned in a pond at Urshiura village in Sadar upazila on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Jahid Hossain,6, son of Sohel Miah, a resident of the village. Locals said Jahid drowned into the pond near his house while he along with his friends went to the pond to have a bath around 1:00pm. Later, locals recovered his floating body from the pond and took it to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital where attending doctors declared him dead.
