Staff Reporter :Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan on Saturday threatened to cut off food supply chain of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office at Gulshan. “The government is not responsible to cut off the power line of Khaleda’s office. The government or DESA did not detach the line. The electricity line was cut off by the employees and workers who are the direct sufferers of blockade. Bus drivers and helpers, general people, poor men are dying. At first we urged Khaleda Zia….we requested her to stop violence. But she did not listen to us. So, the agitated workers and labourers have cut off the lines,” he said while addressing a function at Rasti area in Madaipur district.The Minister said, “We will arrange mass sit on programme around the residence of Khaleda Zia along with family members of arson victims and torched vehicles…..We will also cut off the food supply chain of her house.” The meeting was also attended by senior secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs Dr MOzammel Hossain Khan.
