Brac, a non-government organization, under its education programme-PACE arranged a Chhatra Bondhu Milon Mela (Reunion) and cultural function-2015 at Government Shohid Asad College ground in Shibpur here on Thursday.
Chairman of Shibpur Upazila parishad Ariful Islam Mirdha addressed the function as chief guest with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shibpur Ashraful Afsar in the chair. About 200 Chhatra Bondhu who are playing an important role for teaching the poor and helpless students of 14 secondary schools of Shibpur upazila for continuing their studies without taking any fee were present in the Milon mela. Among others Assistant Secondary Education Officer of Shibpur upazila Omar Faruke, District correspondent of BSS Mohammad Abu Taher, District Brac representative Mijanur Rahman and Area manager of Brac PACE programme Honahara Begum addressed.
