Met office on Thursday predicted that the mild cold wave situation, which is sweeping over northern parts of the country, is likely to continue till February 15.
“The mild cold wave may linger over mid February. But the area of the cold situation may increase or decrease during the period,” Abdur Rahman, a meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), told BSS.
The current cold situation may up and down from mild to moderate cold wave during the period, he said, adding that but there is no forecast of severe cold wave in the remaining parts of this winter.
The met office, in a press release, on Thursday said mild cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Satkhira, Jessore and Chuadanga and it is likely to abate from some places by today’s morning.
